DualDock
DualDock gives your second display a familiar Dock while respecting full-screen apps. When one display enters full screen, DualDock stays available on the other. When both displays are full screen, it gets out of the way.
Local and Private by Design
- No account is required. Internet access is needed for license activation and renewal, with up to 14 days of offline use after activation.
- Activation sends your license key and a random device public key to Grove. Payment is processed by Stripe. No Dock data is uploaded.
- DualDock reads your Dock layout locally and never modifies your Dock preferences.

- Install DualDock. Download the DMG, drag DualDock to Applications, and enter your license key. Enable Accessibility when prompted so it can mirror your Dock.
- Choose Open at Login. Approve the one-time macOS login-item prompt so your second Dock is ready whenever you sign in.
- Work across both displays. Move between apps and full-screen spaces. DualDock follows the display state without covering full-screen content.

What Mac setup does DualDock require?+
DualDock requires macOS 14 or later and is designed for Macs using two displays.
Will DualDock cover full-screen video or games?+
No. DualDock hides on a display while that display has a full-screen app. If only one display is full screen, it remains available on the other; if both are full screen, it hides on both.
Does DualDock replace or change the system Dock?+
No. It supplements the system Dock and reads its layout locally. DualDock does not modify your macOS Dock preferences.
Is DualDock a subscription?+
No. DualDock is a one-time $3.99 purchase with no subscription or in-app purchases.
How do I download DualDock and install updates?+
Buy securely through Grove's Stripe checkout, then download the signed and notarized DMG from your confirmation page. Keep that confirmation link to download the current version again. Updates are installed manually by replacing DualDock in Applications; the app does not run an automatic updater.
Why does DualDock need Accessibility permission?+
Accessibility lets DualDock read the system Dock's running apps, notification badges, and window state so your second Dock can mirror them. Enable DualDock in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. This information stays on your Mac.
How does license activation work?+
Your license key appears after checkout. Enter it in DualDock to activate up to two Macs. You can deactivate a Mac from the License menu. Connect to activate and renew your license; an activated Mac can work offline for up to 14 days. Your purchase does not expire.
Why does macOS ask about opening DualDock at login?+
Open at Login keeps DualDock available after you sign in. DualDock asks first, and you can disable the login item at any time in System Settings.
