Overview

DualDock

Your Dock, on the display that needs it.

DualDock gives your second display a familiar Dock while respecting full-screen apps. When one display enters full screen, DualDock stays available on the other. When both displays are full screen, it gets out of the way.

Why This Exists

Sound familiar?

Without DualDock

  • The system Dock jumps to the display you did not expect
  • A full-screen app can leave the other display without a Dock
  • Moving the pointer to another screen just to switch apps breaks focus

With DualDock

  • Keep Dock access on the display that is not full screen
  • Hide automatically anywhere full-screen content is playing
  • Mirror the order and behavior you already configured in macOS
Workflow

How it works

A clean, three-step flow designed to get value in under a minute.

1

Install DualDock

Launch it once on a Mac with two displays. DualDock reads your existing Dock layout and appears where it is useful.

2

Choose Open at Login

Approve the one-time macOS login-item prompt so your second Dock is ready whenever you sign in.

3

Work across both displays

Move between apps and full-screen spaces. DualDock follows the display state without covering full-screen content.

Capabilities

Built around what matters.

Core functionality focused on speed, privacy, and output quality.

A familiar Dock on both displays

DualDock follows the apps and order in your macOS Dock, including running indicators, folders, Downloads, and Trash.

Full-screen aware

Use full screen on one display and keep a Dock on the other. Put both displays in full screen and DualDock hides on both.

Native macOS glass

System materials, real app icons, notification badges, and Dock-style spacing keep the second Dock at home on your desktop.

Deep Dive

Built for real-world usage

Use Case 1

Designed to match the Dock you already know

DualDock uses real application artwork, Dock-style running indicators, clear system material, and matching spacing instead of approximating your apps with generic shortcuts.

Use Case 2

The same apps, in the same order

Your second Dock mirrors the important parts of the system Dock, including app order, running state, separators, folders, Downloads, and Trash.

Frequently asked questions

What Mac setup does DualDock require?+

DualDock requires macOS 14 or later and is designed for Macs using two displays.

Will DualDock cover full-screen video or games?+

No. DualDock hides on a display while that display has a full-screen app. If only one display is full screen, it remains available on the other; if both are full screen, it hides on both.

Does DualDock replace or change the system Dock?+

No. It supplements the system Dock and reads its layout locally. DualDock does not modify your macOS Dock preferences.

Is DualDock a subscription?+

No. DualDock is a one-time $3.99 purchase with no subscription or in-app purchases.

Why does macOS ask about opening DualDock at login?+

Open at Login keeps DualDock available after you sign in. DualDock asks first, and you can disable the login item at any time in System Settings.
